Potters
While Potters isn't exactly an outstanding pub, it is primarily a pool and snooker hall, with 4 snooker tables, 4 pub-size pool tables and one American-size pool table. This is one of only three pubs in town where you can have a game of pool and a drink, and so is therefore well worth a visit at the beginning of the night.
The pub is popular with the town's younger population, and even admits those under 18 before 8pm to play pool or snooker (although drinking is obviously prohibited).
The pub is situated down a lane next to St. Columba's church, and is very much American style in decor. There are several neon signs for Budweiser, Miller and other brands of drink. This makes the pub quite different to any other in the town, and can be a welcome change.
The food is if excellent quality, and the burgers are almost as good as the take-away shop in the town, Barbecue Kings. The pub also stocks a range of flavoured vodkas, although not as wide a variety as Vicky's.
Potters is really just worth a visit for a game of pool or snooker, because if you're looking for a pub for just a drink and a chat, McCabe's or Flannigan's are a better bet.
