Largs
Largs has a large selection of pubs, and we have tried to accomodate them all here. Although Vicky's is a hotel, the bar area is by far predominantly non-residents, and it is quite popular for a night out so we have included it with the rest of the pubs.
Largs seems to have a quite a large number of pubs considering the town has population of only twelve thousand. This could be because the town is popular with tourists, or perhaps the town is just full of alcoholics (not that we are suggesting this of course). Many of the pubs also offer superb bar meals at lunch time, and a few, such as Flannigan's, also do evening meals.
The atmosphere, and clientelle, in each pub can vary, with places such as Ye Olde Anchor Inn being mainly older people, and Vicky's being home to the, well, younger people. Many pubs such as McCabe's, The George and Flannigan's have a very varied age range, so nobody feels out of place.
