13th Note
The 13th Note is an alternative pub that's bit out of the way of the major clubs in the city. Despite this it's always full every day of the week.
Drinks selections are good, with lots of bottled and draught beers as well as spirits. There aren't really any drink promos, but the drinks aren't too expensive although they wouldn't rival the prices at a student pub. Music ranges from stuff like Belle and Sebastian, and Bob Dylan to the likes of Nirvana and The Pixies, and there's a jukebox that's almost always on.
If you get a bit hungry, it also contains a vegan restaurant which may not sound like the most appetising thing in the world, but some of the stuff actually seems edible. As well as being a restaurant and a pub, the 13th Note is also a live music venue and many new or up-and-coming bands play there to get themselves started.
The atmosphere is good and it's quiet enough that you can talk to you friends. Overall I really like the 13th Note and it's a pub I enjoy going to.
