Glasgow
Glasgow has it's fair share of clubs catering to all forms of musical taste, from the always cheesy student classics at the Garage, to the heavy metal of the Cathouse.
Because of the large number of students there is always somewhere to go every night of the week. From Thursday to Sunday all the major clubs are open and you have a wide choice, but Monday to Wednesday is a different story, so you have to know where's good and where isn't. Our suggestions are:
- Monday - The Garage, it's either this or Popstars at The Shack, so take your pick.
- Tuesday - Trash is our first choice, as it's always busy on a Tuesday, the music is great and the talent is superb. If you don't fancy Trash though the Garage is also extremely popular and a good night out.
- Wednesday - The Shack has recently come to light as being the place to go on a Wednesday if you can't stomach the Garage. It's cheesy music same as the Garage, but seems to be better cheese, with some indie music thrown in too.
At the weekend the world is your oyster, so find a club that sounds to your liking and check it out, but remember, on a Saturday night it ain't cheap. For details on club nights for each night of the week check out the Night by Night section.
