"A major fire in Edinburgh's historic Old Town area has caused millions of pounds worth of damage.

The blaze broke out on Saturday evening above a nightclub [La Belle Angele] in the Cowgate area and quickly spread to nearby buildings."

A large area has been closed around the area, including the North and South Bridge, Chambers Street, Cowgate and Tron square. Due to the extent of the damage and risk of collapse of some buildings it is likely the immediate area will be closed for some time.

Now that the forums are being used more we thought it was time to give them a new look. The whole forum system has been completely redesigned and hopefully will be a vast improvement on the previous system.

A few other changes to how NightB4 accounts work as well - you can now enter profile information, you can remember your login (so you don't have to enter it each time you visit), and when registering you must now confirm the account. See the help pages for more information about the last two.

We're updating the maps for Glasgow over the next couple of days, so if you find that a venue has the wrong location then check back later in the week and it should be sorted.
