The polo lounge is a good place, only if the attidude bouncers will let u by the door!! Think its a case of if your face fits - needs sorting to encourage our custom to return who were regulars

An absolute fucking disgrace! Where do they get the staff from? The manager is a dithering idiot who doesn't know his arse from his elbow, and his security staff are worse! I watched the skinny one on the door give a guy a really hard time in front of his friends, "we don't accept drivers licenses, only passports"! What a lot of pish! The manager should be more concerned with customer care and ensure that the people he has working on his door treat people with some courtesy. The bar staff are friendly and efficient, but the owners really need to get a grip with the bouncers. I wouldn't be surprised if their shitty attitude causes some trouble which I doubt they could handle. Does G1group just hit the Polo and Dels with the worst stewards they have because the guys around the corner in Corinthian were really nice.
Glasgows gay scene deserves much better treatment. Perhaps when they get some competition things will improve.

hi there i was a regular at this club so i know it id say quite well it was an enjoyable night usually jus ashame that you where soakin with sweat when you left. The bar staff where quite friendly an some of the bouncers where to, but sad to say that there was a couple of bouncers that need to be told that they are not in the police force that they jus stop fights an basically there to keep an eye out for trouble not to treat you like crap on the bottom of their shoes. the djs darren an leah are very good djs an made your night enjoyable with their selection of music so go them!!.I wouldnt recommend this club due to the bad air conditioning and the prices of drinks, but hey its now really the only decent gay club left.

I am tired of hearing people complain about the polo lounge chances are you got thrown out for being drunk or disruptive and now you are just bitter! Perhaps you got asked for id and were rejected for not showing any?! The polo is a great place and what makes it so special is that you can be any age and go there for a good time. The older genereation can enjoy the lounge upstairs while the young ones can get down and dirrty in the club with great tunes from dolly parton to christina to usher to the white stripes. If you think about it the polo has it all, class and sophistication in moda, 80's revival in the trophy, funky and fresh in the club and relaxing and charming in the lounge. As for the staff i think they do a great job. If you want to talk about standards then look at their stewards. They are top class and do a great job and most people respect them for it. I think the place could use more stewards but at least they have quality stewards unlike the drugged up dealers that call themsleves bouncers at bennetts. The polo is top notch and anyone that says otherwise is just pissed because they didin't pull that night!!

Upstairs is a great place when not too busy, with great-looking decor. Downstairs can be a good club, but as other people have said it can get way too hot and a decent air conditioning system could go a long way to making this place better.

Tame, tame, tame... one for the over-40s Pringle sweater crowd and little pigeon-chested students dragging along their chubby fag hag friends.
This is everything a gay club should NOT be. It's a place your granny wouldn't feel out of place in.
It's the Brian Dowling of gay clubs - sexless, ignorant, flimsy and utterly "safe".
Thin, cheesy pop, in a faux gay environment where the next Abba revival is just a short track away, this place is strictly for old men (the type with minor jobs in the media, or who run their own estate agencies) and little boys with no winkies who scream when Kylie is shoved on yet again.
We deserve better than this, but for the poor call centre saps who think being allowed in to a Stefan King club is a privilege the shortfall in the whole equation is meaningless: in the Polo Lounge world gay=camp, club=kylie, and the fit guys over at Bennets with their shirts off are "neds".
A pathetic place for pathetic people. One day we will learn to expect better than this.
One for the tourists

Alot of wasted nights spent in the polo, its over priced and to hot, there is no distinction of where the standing area stops and the dance floor begins, the dance floor is ceramic tiles which make it very slippy, and over all the musics shit, i just hate the fuckin place, lol, but really its a good laugh if ur way the right folk
