I have been to salty dog a few times and it is normally quite good. I went again a few weeks ago and it was terrible! Thefood wasn't as described on the menu or infact like I had it before. Its a shame because I normally like the place. Think it will be a while before I am back.

Our visit to Salty Dog was on a very quiet Friday night - don't know if it's par for the course or anything to do with the apres festive lul in January.
The staff were constantly occupied and the female that served us was pleasant and dealt well with the fact the draught beer we asked for was needing changed - offering an alternative. Well over 10 to 15 minutes later when the keg got changed - the beer was worth the wait and served in a chilled glass (nice touch, v. impressed).
The decor, is, grey and black with some very 70's silver globe lights - think a secret lab in something like "Logan's Run" and your in the ball park.
Will deffinately be back to see what it's like with a crowd and some atmosphere, but, for a quiet place to chat with a mate - it was great.

The exciting launch of Badda Bing, kicks off in the award winning bar, Salty Dog, Princes Square in Glasgow, on Sunday 28th November from 5pm - 12am. This fabulous non-ticketed event is packed with live entertainment, featuring, Lisa Littlewood of Beat 106 Radio, vocalist Diane Barry, a live acoustic guitar set and of course... lots of complimentary cocktails, specially prepared by Salty Dog's infamous mixologists. What better way to end the week, so 'Come on in and forget about it!'.
Can't wait to see you all there, Elite Events x
This event was a massive success. Here's to many more. Thanks for coming - see you all soon!

Went to Salty Dog for a few drinks with a colleague who was leaving as we had heard that there were usually drinks promos.
Our group walked up to the bar and one person dared to ask what promos were on. Well, you would have thought we had murdered someone. The pig ignorant barman snarled that there were no promos before slamming a cocktail menu in front of us and walking away. WE ALL LEFT !!!!
Went instead to SOBA .... but thats another story. Are there actually any good bars in Glasgow with good service and no attitude ??
