One of the first bars my gf took me to in Glasgow, Ideal for quiet drink in afternoon but def dont go there to watch footy if your wantin atmosphere, O'Neill's across road better for that. Food was very good too.

Expensive (Paid £7.70 for two of the imported beers last time I was in; we made them last a while...) but worth it if you have a few spare tokens because it's a great wee place with interesting punters and decent staff.

One of the best bars in Glasgow - not pretentious, no neds, massive selection of great beers, good bar staff, good music (at just the right volume) and half decent (but limited selection) of bar food. Plenty of interesting nights downstairs (where the aforementioned sound system is)

Blackfriars - top class bar, huge and really good selection of beer - currently around 17 taps on the bar if i counted correctly! Imported Lagers on tap, 3 guest cask ales, excellent and obscure choice in bottled beers. You are encouraged to try something new. Friendly staff, food not the greatest, but good by pub standards. 9/10

Blackfriars has always been a good venue for music. There is now a monthly Techno / Acid Techno night there called 'KUBE'-This is well worth checking out, their sound system is emense (2k) and with a full lighting rig and live p.a it really is THEE best techno night in Glasgow - Check out Kube on the first Saturday of the month between 8pm and 1am or for more info contact kubemusik@yahoo.com
