RGU Union is the cheapest place I've been to in town. The door staff are usually no bother and the staff are friendly enough too. Always good banter when I go.
The bar upstairs could do with being a bit bigger but apart from that I don't see anything wrong with it.

10/10 to the doormen - they h8 students as much as me and my friends (reason the let us in). THE place to go for cheap booze, has a jukebox and generally filled with fit females until 11'ish. Only spoiling factors is the dickhead student president who walks about thinking he's intelligent (sorry son, you're a fat goth wannabe), the DJ who turns off the jukebox so he can 'tune up' despite the fact he's usually not meant to start for another half hour and the fat slag barmaid who's after anything in trousers. 'Quality' moment was when she grabbed her co-worker in headlock while uttering 'SMELL MY PITS'. Yeah, nice...

RGU is a nice little place to start the night in, pretty jolly crowd. Friendly bar folk and the DRINKS ARE WELL CHEAP. i usually start the night there, and then head over the road to enigma, cause thats pretty cheap too and close by.
A proper student would usually remain in the belmont area for drinks etc.

aye aye, RGU is the starting point for any student on the piss, cheap booze, crap chairs, sometimes good tv, decent juke box, loose freshers, and son of dracula, gambaler! i won loads of money on that thing, but watch out, cause the regualar old man(really old dude), goes around playing it, and if he see's you winning, he goes nuts, cause he usually loses most of his money! Its had a big refurb aswell, before the toilets was filled with profanity and one of the urinals was bust. probably done by a aberdeen university student, the bastards! leave RGU after you have a sambucca, and fall down the stairs on the way out, and bash your knee against the wheel chair access thing. the arcades are well old.

I frequent RGU on a regular basis & the only reason i go back is for the cheap bev. Lets face it, its an inferior union for an inferior university. An RGU degree contains the sme value as a bit of bog roll! The sooner Aberdeen uni gets its union back the better.
