The Bouncers of caberet voltaire are the lowest form of cowards who assualt any one they dont agree with, this may be the cliche case of mostly all highly unintelligent cowardly pieces of garbage, wether they have the misfortune to become the vermin of society and become a bouncer or not, but these bouncers are special, they ask their friends to follow people round the corner and attack them, what a special brand of bitter twisted evil scum, cabaret voltaire be ashamed of yourself for employing this vermin, customers are the way any business survives. and ur staff have people attacked. absolute scum bags. these animals should lose their license and go back to waiting to die with all the other dregs of society, boycott this place at all costs

This club is fantastic, the best night out in Edinburgh by a royal mile during the week and amazing at the weekends too. Great drink prices, great staff and all the right tunes.

This club is the bomb for a Tuesday night. Drinks might be pricey, but the music is tops... Love that drum and bass.

Thought it was about time that this wee gem got a more recent and updated review cos GUYS...it's flippin GRRRREAT. Seriously, get yourselves down there on a Friday night (think it's bout £5 but hang around City Caf n grab the discount tickets) and you'll see what I mean. Really nice crowd, and it might sound strange but it's not TOO busy either which is good...drinks v reasonable (as far as I recollect anyway, ouch) but baybee it's the muuuuusic. Ohmigod. I now understand why people worship DJs. It's too funky for words. Just try it. :)

If you were there or have any information, could you e-mail me please at billcollier79@yahoo.co.uk

Personally I dont like it. Its overpriced, too hot and crowded, and doesnt really cater to my tastes very well. Its also a bit of a clothes shop (if you know what I mean) so dont expect too much free expression on the dancefloor. Pretty much the bottom of the club pile for me.

Having opened quite recently, around the same time that the fire burnt down most of the clubs in the vicinity down cowgate, I think this club gave a new and refreshing breath of life into the Edinburgh nightlife. It actually used to be the permiment lounge (which was nothing compared to CB, and moved to Chambers street), but now they have a whole range of workshops, live performences of all genres of music (funk, drumb and bass, MC battles, etc.) and themed nights. The interior is well designed, and the only worry is that it might get to popular and busy, meaning queues round the block and extortionatly priced drinks.
