Best in Glasgow - the views on the way up add a wee extra dimension to a quiet cinema trip x

What did we do before this cinema came along? Indeed, I cannot even remeber what the area looked like!

A great cinema...not only because it is the tallest in the world, and has a cool glass elevator, or is simply the comfiest movie theatre in the city, but also the range of films is excellent- from blockbusters to art house movies to Disney. 18 screens, and there has to be something on you like!

The unlimited card is a fantastic deal as well, and certainly worth the money. Wednesdays are hella busy cos of the orange deal, but generally get served in no time.

UGC Rocks!

I think this cinema is by far the best one I have EVER been to....The queue management is fab...think the longest ive waited is just over 5 mins max! It gets a little bit messy but what you expect when you get neds in their masses at times droppin popcorn everywhere!! The seats in the place are sooooo comfy and the ticket prices are very reasonable.....I went to city centre Odeon in London and it was £12 to see a damn film ....now who cares what city it is....that's just wrong!! Anyways, back to the good old UGC....ok so the food is a tad pricey but hey...there's a few wee shops down the road that are always open late....me & my mates usually stock up before we go & have fun trying to sneak in our non-UGC priced munchies he he!

I think this cinema always has the best choice of films showing...and i tell ya...i went to the Odeon on Renfield street once after id been to UGC a couple of times.....NEVER AGAIN....UGC rocks people, dont go anywhere else!!!!!

I like it, will never forget sitting up at the top playing eye-spy out the window and eventually just using the sights as props to mock bean and raghnall...fabulous cinema!

I love the UGC, especially the "hike" to the top, takes about 10 mins on the escalators, great fun.....NOT

Seats in the theatres are comfy as hell though!!!

Kick ass sound and picture

Best cinema in Glasgow, by far.

But again, prices of EVERYTHING is so OTT!!!

8/10

I have attended the Glasgow UGC on a number of occasions and have always found it a comfortable place. Two negative aspects which are commom to all multiplex theatres is the cost of the extortianate cost of fast food and confectionery - all of which is a rip off. The queues for ticket purchase is also something which must be looked at.

This is a great cinema but there is a couple of things that ruin it, 1. It is very dirty and doesnt get cleaned properly in the actaul screen parts and 2. Th prices are terrible most people like to eat in the cinema but the prices of the food at the UGC are TERRIBLE if i wad to buy food out of there then i would want a large popcorn and a coke but even just for that its gonna be atleat a fiver that is y when i go to the cinema, i buy my food from a differant shop and bring it in ( it saves alot of money).IN conclusion it is a great cinema but the prices and the hygeine bring it from being great to OK!!!

I am one of the many Unlimited Cinema ticket holders and find it mind boggling as to why we have to pay an extra £0.75 per ticket if we want to advance book them and when we do call to make an advance booking we can only phone up for 1 ticket at a time - and still have to wait in a queue when we get there to pick them up. Also, what money they lose on us buying Unlimited tickets, they sure as hell make up for it in their prices of food and drink etc (hotdog - £3.20!!!!! - eh?) Cool cinema, Poor prices!!
