I went to this club last fall, and my experience of it was pretty good. We were abut ten Icelandic girls and we all had a great time. The best of it was that when we went there, there were mostly boys, ecactly what we were looking for. In Iceland there are so many girls...... :)

Palace/ Planet Murphys was the place to go on a student night (wednesday) especially at only €2 a drink!! The Palace-the upstairs section-has now closed & is being turned into a gym! Thankfully Planet Murphys the downstairs section will remain. So class drunken nights full of cool, goodlooking (generally) people can continue even if not to the great extent that once was. The music is good, the people and staff are friendly &out for a laugh and bodies will be found on the dance floor until they're kicked out in the early hours. Great night altogether.
Best nights to go are wednesdays and thursdays-cheap drink & full to the brim. Dress nicely and bring ID!

Some people claim that the palace night club is the pinnacle of human evolution. Others insist that it is a smelly hole. I on the other hand like to call it home. Drinks are now £1.50 monday to thursday which is reason enough for it being my fav pub in Dublin. Can be a bit packed on wednesdays but that isn't always bad (more birds to choose from). Student id is always good to have on a wednesday it could even be essential to gain admission.
