Ikon closed 3 weeks ago on Saturday. It is in the middle of a great make over and getting turned into Liquid a chain of night clubs throughout the country. I t should be open in about 2 months time. It will not be the same as Ikon's was In dont think any club could be the same. I went to Ikon for the 8 years it was the club and loved every minute of it.

Had a great night here. I'm from Scotland and tend to travel a fair bit around the UK to go clubbing. This place would match most in Scotland (apart from opening hours - 2/3 is a bit early) the geordies were great as well....hardly any trouble at all compared to what im used to...

i used to go every monday nite when i lived there student night,i havent been for soooo long at the time i thought it was amazing untill i experienced the better things in life!
however if u do not know any different you go n dance the night away!! ha ha, afterall we all have to start somewhere and to be fair u will have a great night!! have fun,xxxx

I was down in Newcastle for the weekend and ended up in Ikon and thought it was great! The clubs in edinburgh are good but I though this place was class! so ended up stayed an extra night in newcastle just so as we could go back again! would highly recommend it if you want a good night with good dance music!

I was on my way to ikon in a taxi, the driver said how bad it was, trouble etc. but to the guys and gals who go there, you make it a wicked club!!! the music was fantastic, and drinks priced reasonably( for a club anyhow), the night there was great, i will certainly be back! and all that comes from a southerner!!!!!! nice one Newcastle.

Ikon is a cush club, with top tunes and great DJs. Yeah theres a canny bit of botha but you get that every where. Its not half as bad as most people make it out to be, so if you want a good night out its definatly recommended.x
