Jaques night club could be a brilliant club, if and only if the bouncer are all gotten rid of and the Manager too, none of them make you feel welcome and have no idea of customer service at all. They are all very rude towards women and violent towards men. No way should you feel safe in this club, while this management are running it. Nothing but a bunch of thugs!

jaques is a great wee club with a friendly and lively atmosphere, however drinks can b a bit expensive. The residend dj's charlie and steve will cater for any musical taste however look out for local 'up and coming dj' paul strachan. plays great dance music and gets the crowd hyped up. this guy is sure to make an impression!!! kep up the good work paul!!!

Trevor Reilly (Colours, Privilege, Beat 106)
Michael Woods (Serious Artist Management aka Warrior, Solex)
&
Paul Strachan
Limited number of advanced tickets priced only £5 (!) available from Papa Jacques & Bar Rio or pay £6 on the door.
"La Playa"
A brand new bi-monthly night for Dundee with a whole host of guest dj's, both well known and not so well known, lined up as we prepare to explore the whole spectrum of dance music in the coming months. Featuring a spectacular hired-in laser show and a bigger, better sound system, just for the night.
Kicking things off in style on Friday 28th May with special guest Trevor Reilly, whose long and distinguished career has seen him take his distinctive, funk-edged trance/hard dance/techno sound to every corner of the globe. Working alongside some of the biggest names in the business...Paul van Dyk, Carl Cox & Judge Jules to name but a few, the man they call "The Daddy" will be pulling out all the stops to ensure he leaves the Jacques dancefloor well and truly rocked...
Sharing equal billing on the launch night line-up will be Michael Woods...having been nurtured by top dj talent spotting agency Serious Artist Management, Michael is widely regarded as one of the hottest young trance dj's of the moment. Having initially exploded onto the scene with his electrifying productions such as Warrior 'Warrior' 'X''If U Want Me' & Solex 'Close To The Edge and cutting edge remixes for the likes of Delerium 'Silence', Matt Darey 'Voice Of An Angel', Deepest Blue 'Give It Away' and his current remix for the massive Candeejay 'If I Were U' which has been hammered by Judge Jules on his Radio 1 show for around 8 consecutive weeks(!), Michael Woods is very much a man in demand and La Playa are proud to present this exciting up and coming talent for what should be a memorable launch night!

Jaques seem to have a "grand re-opening" every few weeks now with the promise of page 3 models such as Jordan and Jakki Degg opening the club. But they never turn up! Not really a great reason for going to a nightclub anyway.

Hey, was at Jacques last night and it was great. The 3.30 finish on a saturday makes the night just the right length of time. Always a great atmosphere and mixed age group. Not the biggest club in the world but its good!
