mmm.. this place used to be good but i think its kinda gone down hill a bit.. it always looks kinda manky inside... drink prices are good though like 69p ! not really somewhere i would chose to go particularly but if your looking for a few cheap drinks before heading into a club on sauchiehall street then its no bad.. although crowd aintthe best !

Disapointed on one occasion there.
It was the day Scotland played Belarus (not a great result right enough!!) Myself and a few mates watched the game across the road at the Sports Cafe before heading to Nico's at the back of 8pm. Everything was fine, we were having a laugh...and all of a sudden the bouncer told a mate of mine to "cover his SCOTLAND top" - Too casual apparently!
Fair enough on any other regular night (or if the bouncer was English!), but you think they would be a bit more forgiving on a day like that! Think how many people were wearing the dark blue that day!
Maybe it was because Nico's are too "Big Time" as they are regulary visited by a host of SPL reserve footballers!
I like the place don't get me wrong, but on that occasion i was very disapointed.

Not a bad place to go for a drink if your goin out on sauch. street. A nice atmosphere, you always get folk dancing around to a bit of RnB. Cant argue with the drink prices and theres a really fit barmaid workin there. The pub is a wee touch too small so its usually packed to the rafters, but thats not a bad thing. =)

Nico's is not bad, easy to get a leg over by the looks of the wee slappers that loiter in and around it.
never personally had any problems with it accept that its always mobbed on weekends, but it adds to the atmosphere.
it has good music and good looking chicks so it is definetly worth a visit,
make sure if you go out after it, try and avoid the garage as it could easily be the worst night club in glasgow!

Nico's has to be the best Student pub in Glasgow.
It sometimes reminds me of a Bacardi advert due the non-stop party feel and the dancing on the ledges. The bar can be a bit of a nightmare but once you get served the bar people realise that you've probably stood there for 15 mins at least and are always pleasant. Especially Grant (I'm in a boyband) and Ritchie (Never takes his hat off). The doormen are always cool and when a fight break out (which is very often, never park you car outside Nico's or the wingmirrors will be knocked off) they always break it up in record time.
The DJ's are fantastic and Saturday's DJ is especially good. This pub is brilliant for a night out before Blanket or The Garage and is guaranteed to get you going.
Some of the girls could wear some more clothes (even in the winter they wear hardly anything!) and you can be almost guarantee you'll get your bum felt by a random stranger, but this place rocks.
You wouldn't catch me going anywhere else at the weekend.

Tuesday nights used to be the best in Glasgow in my opinion. Cheap drink and good music. Now it is far too busy, drink is more expensive and too many wannabe 'ganstas' in the place.

only ever go here on a tuesday because you really can't argue with 60p a vodka! does take a while to get served at the bar (usully results in the round getting doubled, good or bad thing, not sure!) and its full of fuds, but its the prices that bring you back.

Nico's = Quality atmosphere, good chat at the door from the stewards (Gav, Joe and Ross) when workin outside (PR'ing, nought else) Bar Staff are quality and cheery unlike some dreary faced staff in other pubs around Sauchiehall St. All in all a quality way to start your evening!!
