Excellent pub, one of the best in city center in terms of the decor, the friendly staff, excellent food and reasonably priced drink. Ok, I say "reasonably" but really it is quite a bit more expensive compared to student pub prices but considering how nice the surroundings and the general atmosphere of the pub is then its well worth it.

I think this is a great pub, full of character all be it a bit manufactured. The prices are a bit above average. The wine is overpriced but it always is. I can never understand why pubs need such a mark up on full bottles of wine. I mean handing over a bottle and some glasses isn’t a big deal. The crock of mussels is pretty good value, in fact the menu is fairly good and the service has always been good..

I went here one night for my m8s last night in glasgow before goin 2 peru! It is a class place, there was a band playing lotsa class songs (irish and non-irish) and, altho expensive, drinks were delivered quick and they pour a not bad pint of guiness. Its good if ur rich jhill folk like us celebrating, but if u dnt wanna splash the cash...dnt come here!

Unusual pub inside, now I see what people meant about getting lost in here!! Its full of split-floors, caverns and passage ways. Was downstairs in the "lower church" of the pub for a 21st party. Good venue but gets very hot!!

I love this place. It instantly appealed to me as soon as I went down the stairs. Lots of wood panelling and stairs going to various rooms. It feels like you're walking about inside a hollowed out tree. It also has a very cosy atmosphere and the music is aimed at a mainstream audience. I thought the drinks were quite pricey but then again I've been used to the cheapness of student drinks. A spiced rum and coke will cost you about £2.20. It's one of these pubs you could stay for hours in or just give a fleeting visit. Either way, it definitely leaves a positive impression.

What a place.
Can be a bit of a maze if you don't know your way about it, but, every nook and crannie has the Irish (and not "oirish") theme throughout.
To be honest, you could be sitting in a bar in Dublin - the Irish staff, the Irish Telly and the traditional Irish folk session playing upstairs (sunday afternoon when i went.)
Pricing? Not to bad to be honest, it's slap bang in the very heart of the city, so i never felt ripped off for my pint.
Go. If only for a look at how it's designed and been fitted out.

Overall the but aint that bad, but 2 things let it down:
1) The beer is just way too dear for a place like this;
2) They need a larger gents toilet - and they could do with a good clean too.
