Was here on Saturday night. The big bar looked great and there was a nice mixture or people in it. Had a few drinks up here then went downstairs to the club room where the band play. It was a meat market for the over 40's. Full of bum grabbers and desperados.
The club next door to it wasn't much better.
The barstaff were ok but a bit slow.
So I'd say it's a nice looking place but the clientelle downstairs kill it off.

Sorry, let's be honest, when the club opens, this becomes a cattle market for Atomic Mutton.
Nice decor, but very much an older crowd, and scarily awful music.

25 minutes to get served at the bar.
Bar staff - minus one young, tall lad who was working his butt off- all glum in the extreme.
No one appeared to be taking charge.
No one appeared to be taking notice of who was at the bar and how long they had been waiting.
No one appeared to tell the bussers that going for glasses and coming back with 3 is "having a giraffe."
A great concept in ending binge drinking. The client waits for the alcohol to leave their system before they proceed to order a second drink.
The first time in ages where i've felt the mickey was getting ripped - given the time of night, our options to retire elsewhere were'nt abounding.
This is a first for me -
Not
Going
Back.

I've been to Arta on about 3 occasions and had a pretty good time but my last visit ruined my impression of the place. On this occasion my girlfriend booked a table for her 21st birthday 2 weeks beforehand and confirmed again on the afternoon. When we arrived there was no table and no-one knew of any booking. It transpired that there was a large party booked in the room where our table should have been and had taken all the space - the attitude was 'they are paying more so they get the space'. It took a lot of arguing with a very arrogant bar manager to eventully be given a table in another v. quiet/dead room.
No denying that it's an impressive looking place but the customer service desperately needs fixing-until that happens I wouldn't go back.

I love this place.
The decor is stunning and the very concept unique. Have been here with mates and also with my folks, as well as corporate do's. Never dissapointed.
A wee bit sad at meeting the very helpful PR's who gave us passes for the club. turn up only to find the place (club section) was closed.
I actually felt sorry for the PR's slogging away when the night was not happening!
All things considered though, a bloody lovely place.

The Canvas Club in Arta is always really busy and has a good mixture of people, old and young!
It has a great atmosphere and is the perfect place to have functions.

Truly Awful.
Just like all of Stefan Kings places it is full of pretentious a*seholes and older people who still want to be trendy.
Worst thing is the beer - a poor selection but how can they make it taste so bad?.
Only positive thing - no neds.

Arta is beautiful and a great night out though the it can take a while getting served in the Canvas room. If you like live Music you'll love it,'Scooby snax' are a must see band. They play about once a month and don't stick to any particular style. They can play just about anything. Engine are excellent straight forward rockn' roll. Pure are also good if a little cheezey & the guitarist is right up his own arse. The DJ is also very good. Never any trouble & completely ned free which is becoming very important in Glasgow.

This place is amazing! Cracking decor, food, drink, staff and, surprisingly, prices. A true gem of a place.
Bouncers charming, the smallest, tiniest, youngest I have ever seen! Brilliant!
