lemon tree is a decent place for live bands. been here a few times, and have enjoyed myself. i remember once, i only came to support a band i didnt know much about. and still enjoyed myself, dancing at the end, like a drunk fool. a lot of other people joined in too. nearly pulled a stunner, too drunk too speak tho. not a winner. had some good times in here.
Nazi controlled venue funded by a corrupt council.
Good bands do play here but admission can be a months wages, and you end up stuck beind a pillar for 3 hours.
Very strange layout inside, and possibly not the best building to turn into a live music venue.
Decent sound but the Nazis won't turn the volume up loud enough.
Drinks prices are sky high, and it's not easy to get served. Draught lager and beer tastes like vomit.
Strange shit on sometimes like siamese twins banging on oil drums why a one armed man from a South Sea island juggles dog turds while stilt walking. You get the picture. I guess the council has their quotas to fill.
Having said all this it is still a decent place to go if there is a band on that you'd really like to see. I just don't advocate becoming a regular.
I dont agree with you katy as you can hear really good live music in drakes. If you want to hear good local and other bands drakes is a place you should give it a try!
The Lemon Tree is without a doubt the best live venue in Aberdeen.Friendly staff brilliant bands and there is a great atmosphere.Great place for bands to play, thats why they get the best - biast - I admit I used to work there!
