I liked it in here. A woman give me her number and that doesn't normally happen to me. I was impressed because she was nice

The Prince of Wales is an outstanding pub.
It's something a bit different than all the other "trendy" bars that seem to be taking over Aberdeen at the moment.
The interior is what you would expect from a "classic" pub. Old, beat up, wooden chairs and tables, plenty of stools to sit at the bar, nasty carpet. All this works to create a great atmosphere.
The best thing about the Prince of Wales is that there isn't really one type of clientel. You'll find students, young professionals, businessmen and your "dirty ol' bastards" sitting around. Everyone is welcome.
On the downside. Well the food isn't great and the layout is a bit strange but to be honest I couldn't really fault it.
Go check it out to have a few drinks, you won't be disappointed.

One of the few true pubs in aberdeen city centre (as opposed to townie cut price joints or style bars).
Good range of beers, friendly staff nae bad.

AN ABERDEEN INSTITUTION SPOILED BY A TAKEOVER BY A GLASGOW COMPANY. THE STANDARD OF FOOD HAS GONE HUGELY DOWNHILL. A CRYING SHAME FOLKS; BUT HEY THATS "PROGRESS".

Great pub, not one of those lame "fashionable" places, which are more like clubs than pubs (you know the kind, ridiculously loud music bizarre lighting). PoW has a great atmosphere, nice choice of ales, very friendly bar staff (they gave my mate a free drink after he spilt his). Just a great place to have a pint and a chat with your mates.
