One of the few venues in Aberdeen with a decent atmosphere. Not enough electronic stuff but the Interesting Music nights are very good. Open mike nights on Tuesdays are very popular. Bar prices are ok.

Drakes provides a valuable service by helping young bands to gain experience. Always good fun, a great atmosphere, happy vibe, and very friendly.

Drakes reminds me of 'Club Berlin' in the Martin Scorsese flick 'After Hours'.

Also sited close to the equally interesting Moorings Bar and people move freely between the two.

Utterly original. Beware of farb imitations.

tiny little bar which can generate a good atmosphere, although, admittedly, you'll probably enjoy it more if it's your mates playing on the stage!

the music and the people are nice, customer age is maby from 16-60 years
gigs have a good sound

A great underground (literally) music bar. A regular open mike night, band nights, and an interesting blend of both music style and customers; no two nights the same!
