Looks like the Candybar are upping the anté on the Glasgow bar scene - and they've got new DJs at the weekend!! Colin Sales on Fridays and Small Marco on Saturdays, new soundsystem at the bar too, big screens and nice drinks - i'd very highly recommend this!

Ah where it all started, style bars that is. Its a shame as no one appreciates the old and now its not busy anymore. Candybar just needs a small revamp and some good P.R's and it would be back to its old self.

Whenever I'm going out for a drink Candy Bar is one of those places that is quite high on my list. Its never overly busy so finding a seat is never a problem, the bar staff are usually good chat if you involve them and the Budvar on tap isn't too bad either ;)

I was there last night and the place was dead. The bar staff seemed pissed off to be serving you.

Got the impression from the staff that they were actually too good to serve joe public.
Suggestion to staff - by a ouija board and talk to the dead cos' yer obviously not happy talking to the living!

Bouncers knobs. Used to love coming here until one night they made me and my mates stand in a queue whilst they let what were presumably regulars (or maybe clientele they assumed were "better") in front of us. We ended up telling them to stick their pub up their arse and went somewhere where we were "good enough" to get in straight away. Won't be back, thats for sure.

bar staff arn't that nice, would'nt say no but come on guys there not that good, as for being expensive, fuck you guys must be skint, 1.70 a pint happy hour 5 - 8 not expensive at all. you do see all the same guys in there at 5pm on a friday (office workers) its good if you get a seat next to the window with a few mates, music's not to loud so you can talk to each other, overall a pretty good place to be
(i would rather it was full of upper class guys than random fucking neds!!!!!!!)
