Well, i was also accosted by two of the PR staff on Saturday night dressed as a show girl and a gypsy, somewhat eyecatching!
As it turns out, its been taken over by new management and its totally changed. At the weekends, theres no more of that techno style raving, its a total party venue with a huge range of music, i even found myself bopping along to those old classics that i thought i would never hear again.
On a Friday they now have a school disco, complete with tuck shop and detention centre and wait for it... a PE lesson! You get in free with school uniform on or you can buy one in there.
On a Saturday theres a circus with clowns, stilt walkers fire blowers and magicians and all the staff go all out in costumes. And as for mondays, the classic rev night, they're getting bigger and better.
When i went in i found that there ws no rev neds anymore and its just really friendly. The staff are lovely and really helpful and theres brlliant vodka and rd bull deals. So i think its time for everyone to come back!

What has happened with this club? over the past year or so it has really went downhill, the 'cd monkeys' that they have in this place are quite possibly the worst that i have ever come across. Its hard to believe that these so called 'dj's' are actually being paid for what they do!

Revolutions is really quite good actually, it always gets slated but I swear i always have a cracking time. Thursdays are the best, cheaper to get in and drink, and although its takes a while to get going after 12 or so the dancing is fab, and there is not a bad word to be said for the amateur "entertainers" on the podiums! Hell, i even met some Norweigen sailors there on the cops and robbers night (those nights just seem to be for the staff to dress up!) and had one of the best nights yet.

been goin to The Rev for a fair amount of years in fact would maybe call myself a veteran member as I've been goin since it was called Century. Have been to most of the other clubs in Edinburgh and a few in Glasgow and have to say you get the same omont of "Neds" where ever you go so don't think the place deserves all the shit publicity it gets

The revolution is just fab, well if you love to dance the revolution is the place to be!!! I am a true REVVER!!! Been going every week for 2 years. If you love to dance and have a laugh revs the place to be. And there is not that many neds that people keep going on about. The bouncers are sound once you get to know them!!! its like a 2nd home to me, i know loads of ppl there now.As for the sticky carpet situation what do u expect its a club and drinks get spilt. So get yourtself there. Must admit friday nights are better than saturday and cheaper!!!! From Roxy C

Revolotion only seem to let in 16 year olds. They id everyone else. The bouncers look like cocks, but once entry is allowed its not sssso bad. You go to the toilets and you are surrounded by white shirts. "haw man, yer dicks pure maasshive ya cunt".
Then your out before you know it. And by the end of the night your head gets a bit sore. But yeah.. not too bad

Right, from this day on i will never be prejudiced about a club again!
Having always sworn i'd never set foot in the place, I waspersuaded in my drunken state to pay it a visit last night(Saturday).
Was slightly perturbed upon seeing who the queue consisted of, and feeling very overdressed indeed having gone straight from a posh function thing. Would have been £7 to get in had we not picked up about 6 flyers with £2 off. Headedto the toilets where we were screamed at by a bleach blonde mullet-haired nedette -"d'ye no ken theres a fuckin queue!" After the trauma of thinking we were goingto get beat up within 5mins of entry (fortunately she got distracted), we headed to the bar where we ordered tripleJDs with byfar not enough coke forabout £3.50 each which turned out to be cheaper than i expected the rev to be!
Then suddenly to our surprise it was a foam party, andthe soapbubblesstartedtofall and the strobe lightscame on and they played darude-sandstorm and it was ammazziinnngg.
altho we all fell on the floor cos it was so slidy and my arm got stood on by a stiletto heel and now i cant grip onto things properly. also the foam ruined my clothes.
but was all worth it.
dont judge it by its reputation, go with good company, dont let the neds annoy u, and it is fabulous.
