By far the best club in Edinburgh my ass if any people who are not from Edinurgh read this do not beleive this crap. it is dreadful. the dance floor is like an African plain about 50 miles squared it covers. nearly every club in edinburgh is better than this except Revolution. I was just wondering if you all knew the new name that is in the pipe line for eros it is EDINBURGH ARENA. I ber in a month it will be dubed Fight Club.

I also work as a doorman, a few people I know worked in Eros as doorstaff, but there were a few who were wrong for the job, customer service is still important = that was oot the window, training = did they get any, power trip = yes, the ones who I knew were completely proffessional. example, I went to the food area at 0255, bought some food, sat down, doorman says right you lot oot, alright I`ll just finish this (I`ve got 15 minutes by law), doorman says naw oot or I`ll throw you oot, me (drunk) instantly offended, right I`ll take it with me, doorman says naw oot leave that here, me had enough, bolt, sat down ate it then left. My opinion is that Eros had so many NEDS in it that they began employing them as door stewards. Even worse, the council badged them.

Eros was a good place, when it didnt try and be classy, it never has and never will be. I also used to work on the security team at Eros like Gromit and I have a few quams with what Bingo said.

We never threw anybody out without a proper reason and legally we do not have to give a reason when turning people away at the door. Some nights photo ID is essential by request of the management. Bingo also mentioned an incident that occured in 2000, back then a completely different security company worked there rather than UpFront. T.J.U.K. are one of the main reasons, apart from incompitant managent on behalf of Eros that it had its liscence revoked.

Well, I used to be on the security team at eros and to all who think that we were all wankers, sorry. It is one of the most thankless jobs in the world and
remember this...if you are out for a good time, but someone wants to spoil it for you, we are there to take a punch for you...I worked most nights in Elite and never had much problems. If you do not have photographic ID u will not get in (thats what the police tell us) It is a shame that it is closed for a few months as I really enjoyed working there and with the people that were on the security team.....we are not all bad

I used to go to eros all the time,it used to be a good laugh and a good atmosphere. now there are just too many fights.now revolution is the place to be.also eros is a bit pricey.

hmmm i dont think ive been to the same eros as you guys! My mates had to persuade me to go (really not my scene) so I just got wasted and had a laugh with my pals. I'd never been before and everyone seemed very friendly to me. 2 of us got a taxi paid for us on the way, then some randoms gave us free entry passes and the folk in the queue were givin us good chat, no probs with the bouncers and we didnt even have any ID.
