Tags

Tags allow you to attach words or short phrases to your photos, allowing you and others to find photos quickly or just browse through the photos on the site.

When adding photos you can assign a number of tags to add the photos you are uploading, and then add additional tags to individual photos as required. You can edit the tags for a photo by viewing the photo and using the form on the right hand side of the page

Guidelines

Tags should categorise the photo at a fairly generic level, but you can also include more specific tags. For example, you may wish to include the type of photo (e.g. holiday, night out, portrait, group, landscape), the location (e.g. scotland, glasgow, george square), the subject (e.g. pet, family, friends).

Ideally everyone will use similar tags for similar photos, for example, you should try to include the tag 'me' when the photo is of yourself

Some notes -

• Tags are limited to spaces, letters and numbers - all other characters will be ignored.
• All letters will be changed to lower case.
• Tags are limited to 30 characters - longer tags will be ignored
• Do not include tags which are unrelated to the photograph, they will be removed and you may lose the ability to tag photos.
