We know how annoying it is to receive spam email - this page details how we use email addresses and how our mailing lists or newsletters work.

When a user joins NightB4 they are given the option to not receive promotional emails from us. Before the 26th of November 2002 this was worded as all "promotional emails", after this date it is worded as "general promotional emails" - or any emails not covered by other options. If a user opts out they will not receive any general emails from us apart from those essential to the operation of their account.

On the 26th of November 2002 a second email option was added to allow users to subscribe and unsubscribe to a Glasgow specific weekly newsletter. This option is independent from the "general promotional emails" option - you can be subscribed to the Glasgow newsletter but opt out of the general emails and vice versa.

Initially the Glasgow newsletter is being sent to users who :

• Did not opt out of the all/general promotional emails
• Either have submitted a reader review for a venue in Glasgow or have a postcode starting with G or PA

If you have received the Glasgow Newsletter and do not wish to you can unsubscribe using the Edit Preferences page. You will not receive further Glasgow Newsletters even if you satisfy the two critera above.

As stated in the privacy policy we do not sell or distribute our mailing lists - if advertisers wish to send promtional information they must do it through our systems and therefore never see your email address or personal details.
