Aye. I had a good night anyways. Much the same as China Whites in terms of the decor and the staff. Was rammed for a good while. Always difficult to judge from a launch night but I thought it was pretty good. Especially the bit outside for the smokers!! NIce and warm and dry! Probably worth buying the place just for that!

No such thing as a two year contract with O2 and if yer out of your 1st year its not even worth trying to get it sent away. Best bet is to try the Mobile Repair Centre under Central Bridge.

You will be due yer upgrade. And your warranty only runs for a year anyways. You cant take out insurance with O2 unless u take it in the first 2 weeks of your contract being signed. House insurance is alwasya an option but as some1 else said 2 you will be due an upgrade. And thatll teach you to buy a Samsung phone!!! Only Kiddin!

And not 1 of u has mentioned the fact that if u come from a station with no ticket facilities and no conductor is on the train you have to stand in a queue for 10 minutes at Central and be late for work when you never even had an opportunity to get a ticket. Although in saying that it is rare. Because usually the train doesnt even turn up.

I remember years a go when Celtic had just played Rosenborg or Porto at home in the Champions League and I headed up to the Monkey Bar straight from the game. When I eventually got there and caught up with everyone else there was a table of Rangers players sittin opposite us. Me being at the wind up thought it would be quite funny to flash my hoops at Barry Ferguson. Needless to say he was so unimpresed he bought me a dying rose from a wee woman who came in flogging them. I can only presume he didnt know the score and assumed we got beaten. Moments later I had to remind poor Barry that we'd actually won the game!

I know this doesnt really answer your question as its not in the town or west end. But I think theres a new pool place opened up in Shawlands above the co-op. Dont think you need to be a member. Sure its probably full of pretty nasty people too if Im honest! But agaiin I have no idea what its like.

Nice Idea. But to be honest I'd rather be able to shout abuse and maybe even get away with the odd rebel song!!!

Hey.
Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions of where to watch the old firm. Preferrably not somewhere stale (i.e Sporto or Sports Cafe) but not anywhere to hardcore! And finally preferrably somewhere slightly more Celtic minded!!!!!! Obviously Ive taken all the big Irish bars into account; Molly's, Jinty's, O'Henrys and O'Neills.
Its just because we're looking for somewhere a wee bit different this time!
Cheers

And no I havent been to the Loudon Tavern b4 some smart ar8e comments!

Its cool I know the ones you mean. I might even be able to find a pic myself! They've been out all week. In their defence though they havn't caused any bother and have certainly not been violent. All in all the boogie on the bridge was pretty peacefull certainly compared to other events particularly Edinburgh a week a go today and Gleneagles as well. I can see why weegies are a bit anoyed but you have to agree we got off pretty lightly really. Thats the only real protest we've had here is it not?

To be honest it depends what protest you're talking about. What Im saying is that the 'Boogie On The Bridge' was a totlly peacefull arranged demo with the permission of the police and city council. and people were begining to get annoyed as for almost 2 hours we were held on that bridge and not allowed to leave without a police escort. I saw quite a few people who were only crossing on their way to town and who were not allowed off. This is what caused people to get edgy and shout at police. A lot of people have been unhappy at the way the police have handled some of the events. From what I have seen the Scottish police have been absolutely brilliant. It has been when they have allowed their English counterparts to intervene that trouble has flared. In the last week I have lost count of the amount of people Ive seen man handled by the police and struck with batons when being caught up in things. Im not condoning the muppets who came to Scotland looking for trouble but there have been a high percentage of innocent people caught up in trouble that has been instigated by the police with their heavy handed tactics. Although I do agree that the police would never have given the go ahead to a sit down like that if it had been lodged by old firm fans!

Over the last week there have been plenty of "normal people" prtesting against various different issues and on Fridays ARRANGED 'Boogie On The Bridge' the issue was climate change and road building. Now you may not think climate change is an issue but there are millions of people who do. And to joke about the police steaming in with batons and cs after the scenes they have provoked all week I think you are being a bit hars. I am not suggesting that there isnt a number of idiots that travel around looking for demos but the majority of people were having a peacefull demo that had been arranged with both the met police and strathclyde police months in advance. And having been on the end of the MET polices "crowd control measures" on more than 1 occasion this week I can see why people seek them out for trouble. And Glasgow people need to realise that we have had minimal disruption this week compared to Edinburgh and of course London. Maybe one day you'll stand up for something you believe in. Maybe Not!

Yes, there are certain rumours floating around that they HAD to rebuild as a club, or else they wouldn't get the insurance money.... It should be quite interesting, purpose built, therefore hopefully less noise leaking out.

I was objecting about the overprovision of licences in the area. In a 100 m area there is Campus 1000 capacity, Sports Cafe (1000?) ABC (1500) and then Jumping Jacks (1000?). Bring the Shack (potential of 2500)into the equation, and that is a lot of drunk people outside my front door at 3 in the morning with no taxi rank!

To be fair you do live in the City Centre and you were no doubt aware that you would have to put up with that kind of disturbance before you moved into the property. And the fact there has been a nightclub of that capacity there for some time anyways. Sorry if that sounded really rude but it is the busiest part of the town after all
